西安城墙
Xi'an City Wall
Resumen
Xi'an's city wall is one of the best-preserved and most complete ancient fortifications in China, a 14-kilometre rectangle of Ming-dynasty ramparts that still rings the old city. At up to 12 metres wide on top, it is a raised promenade with views over the old town on one side and the modern city on the other.
The signature experience is to rent a bicycle and ride the full circuit, which takes one to two hours and gives you a sense of the city's scale. Walking a section is equally pleasant, especially near dusk when the wall and watchtowers are lit.
There are several gates to enter from, the most popular being the South Gate (Yongning Gate), which has the grandest towers and the best photo opportunities.

Cómo llegar
Take Metro Line 2 to Yongningmen (South Gate) station; the gate is directly at the exit. The South Gate is the most impressive entry point. Buses run to all four main gates, and taxis can drop you at any entrance — the South Gate is the easiest landmark for drivers.

Ruta sugerida
Enter at the South Gate, climb to the top and either rent a bicycle for the full 14-km circuit (about 90 minutes) or walk a shorter section toward the East Gate and back. Finish near dusk and walk down to the South Gate plaza for the illuminated towers, then head into the old city for dinner.
Dónde alojarse
Staying inside the wall (around the Bell Tower or South Gate) puts you closest to the action but rooms can be smaller and pricier. The Muslim Quarter offers a lively, food-focused base. Staying just outside the wall, near the South Gate, is a good balance of price and convenience.
Consejos prácticos

- The wall is wide but has no shade; bring water and a hat.
