丽江古城
Lijiang Old Town
개요
Lijiang Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of China's most atmospheric old towns — a maze of cobbled lanes, canals, wooden Naxi houses and small bridges, set against the backdrop of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It has been a trading crossroads for centuries, and the Naxi culture still shapes its character.
The old town is best explored by simply getting lost in its lanes, especially early in the morning before the day-trippers arrive and in the evening when the lanterns and music come out. The Black Dragon Pool park offers the classic view of the town with the mountain behind.
Lijiang is a base for exploring the wider Yunnan countryside — Tiger Leaping Gorge, the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and nearby villages — so it rewards a longer stay.
