Xijiang Miao Village is a genuine highlight of Kaili and worth prioritising if you are here — though it is best combined with the city's other sights rather than treated as a lone detour. Go early, and keep expectations flexible around weather and crowds.

Xijiang Miao Village sits in Kaili and is best reached on foot or by a short taxi/ride-hail from the centre. Show your driver the Chinese name — 西江千户苗寨 — and enter through the main gate.
